The Learning Centre: Two Feminists was exhibited as part of No Offer Refused, curated by Patrice Sharkey and Liang Luscombe at Westspace, Melbourne, 21 Sept – 13 Oct 2012. For three weeks, Westspace was transformed into a classroom replete with blackboards and desks. Within this setting 16 participants taught me their knowledge on feminism. In return for their time and knowledge, I painted their portrait. The Learning Centre: Two Feminists is a sincere inquiry into the relevance, history and contemporary manifestations of Feminism in Australia and its relationship to myself, as a young female Australian artist. Go to the twofeminists blog to view everything that I learnt.
